CZ Strakonice VZ 52 7,62 x 25 mm Tokarev
Immediately after the war the Czech Army demanded a new pistol. The VZ 52 is a recoil operated pistol with an unusual locking system which appears to be based upon a Mauser patent 1910, modified along lines, first explored in Poland and later incorporated into the MG 42 machine gun. Two rollers lock the barrel and slide together during a short recoil stroke and are then cammed out of engagement with the slide allowing the slide to recoil fully, extract, return and chamber a new round. As a new round is chambered so the locking rollers are once again forced outwards into engagement. Recoil-operated pistol with an unusual two rollers locking system. Accessories: leather holster, two magazines, cleaning kit.
